Teenager suffered broken ankle in Finlathen park fall

A teenager suffered a broken ankle after falling from a bridge in Finlathen Park, according to police.

The 15-year-old girl was rushed to hospital in a back brace shortly after 8.30pm on Wednesday.

“There were no suspicious circumstances,” a police spokesman said. “The female is still in hospital, having sustained a broken ankle.”

It is understood the girl remained conscious throughout her ordeal.

A police spokesman added: “Ambulance crews tended to her, then took her Ninewells Hospital for further treatment.”
