Friends and family of a Dundee woman found dead in Glasgow have posted online tributes and memories of their time with her.
The sisters and a friend of Katy Rourke, who was allegedly stabbed to death last week at the age of 25, have changed their Facebook profile photos as a mark of respect.
Their images show them in happy times with the former Grove Academy pupil, who was originally from Broughty Ferry.
Other friends paid their own respects when the photos were first posted.
Louise Harkin said: “I’m so very sorry babes. Cannot believe this has happened.”
Liseli Sitali wrote: “Sending you lots of love and hugs. May God rest Katy’s beautiful soul in peace. xoxox.”
Another friend’s tribute photograph was taken with Katy on a tourist train that drives through Broughty Ferry in the summer.
Pal Kim Delaney Merrick posted: “You both look so happy (and beautiful). Very sorry for your loss.”
As police searched for Katy, her friends posted messages appealing for information on her whereabouts.
She was found dead in a flat in Glasgow on Wednesday with severe injuries.
Gary Stevenson appeared in court on Saturday charged with murdering Katy after locking her in a property on Minto Street in the city and demanding sex.
The 26-year-old, from Cumbernauld, made no plea or declaration at Glasgow Sheriff Court and was remanded in custody by Sheriff Paul Crozier.
Court papers claim Stevenson “did detain her against her will and demand she engage in sexual intercourse”.
The papers further allege that “upon refusal” Stevenson did then “repeatedly stab and slash her on the body with a knife or similar implement and did murder her”.
Stevenson will appear again next week for a full committal hearing.
Katy’s parents, Phil, 55, and Dawn, 54, were being comforted at their home in Broughty Ferry.
