Jamie Ramsay, 33, of the Laurels, denies committing the offence on April 11. He also denies using a car without a test certificate. He further denies driving dangerously at excessive speed in a restricted limit and overtaking another vehicle. His solicitor said Ramsay is waiting to have a skin operation at Ninewells Hospital in January when the trial is due to go ahead. Sheriff Tom Hughes continued the case to a fresh intermediate diet on December 18.
