ByThe Courier Reporter
Police are appealing to any motorists who had their cars damaged by teenagers throwing stones at traffic on Sunday night to report the incident.
Officers attended Moncur Crescent at 7.10pm after receiving reports of stones being thrown at cars but it is understood the youths had already gone.
An eyewitness, who did not want to be named, who was driving along the crescent, at the top of Dens Road, said a gang of teenagers in the play park had been hurling stones at passing cars.
He said these were sizeable bits of stone being thrown but his own car was not hit. He added people who stopped to speak to the youngsters were verbally abused.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said they wanted to hear from anyone who has suffered any vandalism on 101.
