Teenager fighting for her life after being knocked down by car in Dundee

A 15-year-old girl is fighting for her life in Ninewells Hospital after suffering serious head injuries after struck by a car on Ancrum Road in Dundee on Monday night.
The girl was walking on the pedestrian crossing outside Ancrum Primary School around 5.20pm when she was involved in a collision with a black Ford Fiesta.
Nearby residents described how they hear the teenager “screaming in agony”.
One resident said: “It’s shocking to hear of something like this happening so close by. I hope the woman is not too seriously injured.
“Ancrum Road can be very busy at certain times of the day.”
The road was closed for several hours as police enquiries into the accident took place.
It re-opened at 2.30am.
