The mother of a nine year-old boy who died after being struck by a car on the A90 has paid tribute to her “best friend”. Laura McKay also issued a picture of her and her son Kairon, who she described as “a loving wee boy”. Kairon died after being involved in a collision with a blue Ford C Max around 9.20pm on Friday night. He was out playing with friends when the tragedy occurred. Issuing a statement through Police Scotland on Sunday, Laura said: “Kairon was a loving wee boy and he was my best friend. “At this time, I would very much appreciate if I could be left to grieve in peace.” Meanwhile, she also sent her condolences to the family of a 40-year-old man killed in a collision between Crieff and Perth on Saturday night.
