Albert Street reopens after gas mains replacement works
ByThe Courier Reporter
A major Dundee junction was reopened to traffic yesterday after weeks of disruption.
Gas company SGN had been carrying out gas mains work which began on Albert Street and then moved to the busy junction of Albert Street, Dura Street, Forfar Road and Pitkerro Road.
Businesses complained they lost out on trade because of the disruption.
However, the road was fully reopened after road repairs were completed.
An SGN spokeswoman said: “We would like to thank the local community for their patience while we carried out this essential work.”
