Vandals daubed a West End pub with “mindless” graffiti and smashed six windows overnight on Thursday.
The Queen Anne Bar on the corner of Scott Street and City Road was left in a shocking state after vandals smeared crude crosses in white paint all over the outside.
The vandals also smashed six windows on both the Scott Street and City Road sides of the pub.
Premises manager Nathan Stewart said: “This has never happened before.
“The police have been up and have starting making inquiries. Hopefully we are going to be open as usual.
“I don’t think it will affect business. Our customers are pretty loyal and supportive.”
The vandalism occurred between the pub closing at 11pm on Thursday and Friday morning.
“I got a phone call at 9am telling me about it,” said Mr Stewart.
Local councillor Fraser Macpherson slammed the attack and urged residents to report the culprits to police.
He said: “This is mindless vandalism and I am pleased that the police are already on the case of tracking down those responsible.
“I would ask any resident who saw anything suspicious to contact Police Scotland immediately.”
Police can be contacted on 101.
