Dundee detectives hunt for city centre sex attacker

Police are investigating after a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Dundee city centre.
The teenager is believed to have been targeted at about 2am on Sunday in the car park of Lidl, on South Ward Road.
The area was sealed off as police conducted “extensive” investigations into the attack.
Forensics and scenes of crime officers were seen within the cordon for most of Sunday as they hunted for clues.
A description of the girl’s attacker has not been released but a Police Scotland spokeswoman appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
She said: “Police Scotland is carrying out extensive inquiries following a report that a young woman was sexually assaulted in Dundee in the early hours of Sunday, April 26.
“The incident happened around 2am in the car park of Lidl supermarket, South Ward Road, Dundee.
“Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information about the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
