A former Dundee University lecturer admitted sending “romantic” text messages to a 12-year-old girl.
Jonathan Kobine, 48, of Broughty Ferry, is set to be struck off the teaching register having also admitted giving a 13-year-old girl his phone number.
Kobine has now agreed to a removal with consent order following an investigation by the General Teaching Council Scotland.
He admitted sending repeated text messages to a girl who was then aged 12 which were “inappropriate and romantic in nature” at unknown dates in 2007. Police had investigated the incidents but no charges were brought.
