National Express Dundee has announced that its 5N night bus will now serve Douglas.
The Night Owl runs in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings, between the city centre and Broughty Ferry, with some journeys extending to Broomhill Drive in Monifieth.
The timetable for the 5N has also been amended slightly, with buses departing from Courthouse Square at 12.07, 1.15, 2.35 and 3.35.
Operations manager Paul Clark said: “We decided to extend the bus’s route to travel via Douglas so that more people can benefit from this service.”
The company has also announced that it has seen a 3% increase in passenger numbers since the opening of new shops at the Stack in Lochee.
The recently re-launched Outer Circle serves the area, while the 1A and 1B also connect people in St Mary’s, Ardler and the Hilltown with the revamped leisure and retail park.
Managing director Phil Smith said: “I’m pleased to see the re-generation of this area the new shopping centre at the Stack is clearly breathing new life into Lochee.”
