One of the best-known faces in Scottish sports broadcasting is leaving full-time employment with the BBC.
Jim Spence revealed on Twitter that he will be taking a break from broadcasting after completing his final two shifts for Radio Scotland this week.

A former lecturer at Dundee College, heis well known for his coverage of both Dundee teams.
The broadcaster said he intends to continue working in journalism in a freelance capacity, which will likely involve roles with the BBC.
He became an internet sensation following an infamous 2009interview with Dundee United goalkeep Dusan Purnis, where neither party can understand the other’s language.
The announcment of his departure from the BBC led to a host of affectionate tributes on Twitter, including this clip of him playing air guitar on the gantry at Tannadice.
