A riding school was the scene of a dramatic rescue operation on Thursday morning after a horse became trapped in mud.
Seven fire and rescue crew rushed to save Domino, a 15-year-old cob, who was discovered engulfed in mud near her feeding trough on the outskirts of Dundee at about 7am.
The firefighters, using a harness and brute strength, took over two hours to drag the horse to safety.
They then helped steady it and check it was in good health.
It has since been moved to a different field at the Muirhead Stables.
