Police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man whose body was found at a property in Dundee’s Ardler area.
The man, named locally as Justin Markie, was discovered in his home in Gleneagles Street at around 2.30pm on Tuesday.
The death of Mr Markie, known to friends as Titch, was initially treated as unexplained by police.
In an update on Wednesday afternoon, they said: “Police Scotland can now confirm that there are no suspicious circumstances…
“As with all sudden deaths a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
Officers had remained at the scene this morning, following a heavy overnight police presence in the street.
Forensics officers entered the property, leaving shortly after 9.15pm, and a number of police cars and an incident unit were stationed outside the property.
A police spokesman said: “A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course and no further details are available at this time.”
