Motorists face yet more misery due to Claypotts Road works

Motorists in Broughty Ferry are set for more misery as further roadworks take place on Claypotts Road.
It will be closed between Davidson Street and Albert Road for five days as it undergoes remedial repairs.
Stretches of Claypotts Road have been shut for more than nine weeks in the past six months alone for a combination of maintenance work and improvements to traffic lights.
The traffic light works in January caused significant tailbacks amidst delays, computer glitches and bad weather.
The latest works are taking place during the Easter holidays in a bid to minimise disruption to motorists.
Broughty Ferry Community Council chairman George Ferguson said the works would cause inconvenience but were nonetheless much needed.
