Dundee Chief Executive Scot Gardiner has revealed that the club have launched an investigation into events involving fans at Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash in Hamilton.
Supporters from both sides were involved in a heated exchange in the first half, with referee Bobby Madden calling a halt to play for five minutes until order was restored.
Gardiner admitted the club will be studying video evidence of the incident but also revealed there is concern that for the third time in a row at Hamilton, Dundee supporters’ buses were allegedly attacked at the end of the game.
Gardiner said: “We’re having an investigation into what exactly happened.
“Our own support was immense which was commented on by a lot of people. We’re delighted about that.
“We’ve got our own video footage of the whole thing as well as some from Hamilton to try and get to the bottom of it.
“We couldn’t see from our seats what sparked it but thankfully it didn’t encroach onto the park.
“We are also very disappointed that for the third game in row, our supporters’ buses were attacked at the end of the game at Hamilton.
“That shouldn’t be happening.
