Man injured as thief steals four-figure sum in raid on Dundee bar

A 25-year-old man suffered facial injuries following a raid on the South Tay Superstore in the early hours of Monday morning that saw the perpetrator make off with a four-figure sum of money.
The incident occurred between 1am and 1.30am, shortly after the South Tay Street bar, formerly known as The Social, closed at midnight.
Police Scotland said the man responsible was of stocky build, around six feet tall and was wearing a black hooded top and possibly a grey coloured scarf.
He was last seen in the area of Perth Road and Nethergate after fleeing the premises.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard any suspicious activity should contact Police Scotland on 101.
