The robbery took place on Strathmartine Road next to Fairmuir Park.
Police are investigating after man was robbed in his car in Dundee.
The victim was in his Mitsubishi Warrior near Kwik Fit on Strathmartine Road at 8.50am on Friday when a man reached into the vehicle and assaulted him before making off with a bag containing a four figure sum of cash.
The thief is described as being in his early 20’s with brown hair and wearing dark clothing and white trainers.
He was seen making off on the back of a small motorbike, possibly a Kawasaki 85cc or 125cc. The other rider was wearing a white or light blue helmet. The bike was last seen heading in the direction of the Kingsway.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was taken to Ninewells Hospital to be assessed.
Officers are examining CCTV footage from the area and are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone who may have seen motorbike in the area around the time of the incident.
