Police renew appeal after man robbed in car in Dundee

Police probing a robbery on Strathmartine Road returned to the scene one week on to speak to motorists and pedestrians.

At about 8.50am on Friday June 28, a man got into his parked Mitsubishi Warrior near Kwik Fit when he was approached by a man who reached into the vehicle and assaulted him before making off with a bag containing a four figure sum of cash.

The assailant was in his early twenties, with brown hair and was wearing dark clothing and white trainers. He was seen making off on the back of a small motorbike, possibly a Kawasaki 85cc or 125cc.

The other rider was wearing a white or light blue helmet, and the bike was seen heading in the direction of the Kingsway.

The Mitsubishi driver was taken to Ninewells, where he was checked over. Officers are checking CCTV footage and are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the motorbike or the incident.
