Arbroath cocaine dealer jailed after being caught in Dundee

An Arbroath man involved in the supply of cocaine was has been jailed for eight months at Dundee Sheriff Court.
The court heard Sean Dempsey, 30, had been caught on CCTV throwing a package of drugs around.
Dempsey, of Ladyloan, Arbroath, admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug to another or others on May 5 at Ballindean Road.
Fiscal depute Laura Bruce told the court the accused was seen to remove a white object from the pocket of his shorts and throw it towards a witness.
She said: “The witness picked it up and threw it back at the accused.
“The accused picked up the white object and put it in the front pocket of his shorts before quickly removing it again and appeared to wave the object in the face of females before again placing it into the front pocket of his shorts.”
The court heard when Dempsey saw a police vehicle he removed the object and was seen to drop it into the road. Dempsey then ran off but was chased and found a short distance away.
