A senior Dundee education officer has won £15,000 after suing the city council.
Lina Waghorn, who is head of primary education, launched a personal injury action against her employer after falling down stairs and breaking her leg while working as a producer for Dundee Schools Music Theatre in 2011.
The council had claimed she was not working in her normal role, but a legal debate established she was at work as she received time back in lieu.
The case was due to go to a proof in the Court of Session, but the council made an offer before proceedings started which Mrs Waghorn accepted.
A spokesman for her lawyers Digby Brown said: “Whilst pleased that her case has reached a conclusion, our client is keen to move on and considers the matter closed.”
A council spokesman said: “We do not discuss individual personnel issues.”
