Workers at a Dundee supermarket have complained of a course of sickening sexual misconduct by a male member of staff towards six female colleagues.
An employee at Asda Dundee West contacted The Courier to allege the male has carried out a campaign of sexual abuse against females as young as 19.
The whistleblower claimed the male has sent numerous sexually explicit videos and text messages to colleagues, including footage of him carrying out a solo sex act in customer toilets.
The complainer further alleges that members of the senior staff were not only aware of the behaviour but laughed it off, telling victims to “not take it seriously”.
According to the whistleblower, staff have been left “shocked and outraged” at both managers’ dismissive stance.
Asda has insisted that it is aware of no such allegations and a man understood to be the store’s general manager refused to comment on the allegations when approached by The Courier.
The complainer said: “They have shown a total disregard to the victims and many other female staff.
“I fear that this may pave the way for this type of behaviour to happen again in the future.
“I believe that not only have the standards of the company been compromised, but also that of the local community.
“Hopefully by making the matter public, Asda will take such an incident more seriously in the future and prevent it from happening again.”
A spokesperson for the supermarket chain said: “We haven’t received any formal complaints from colleagues.
“We take allegations such as this extremely serious and would always investigate with the relevant colleagues.”
Police confirmed they are unaware of any reports of sexual harassment in the store, but urged anyone with concerns to contact Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.
