Fire crews were called to Craigowan Road at 4.53am after a car caught fire. However, fuel escaping from the vehicle then ignited, spreading the fire to two other vehicles. Jet hosereels and a CO2 extinguisher were used to put out the flames. No one was hurt in the incident. Earlier a man and a woman in Perth received treatment for smoke inhalation after a pot of meat caught fire at their home in St Catherine’s Square. The incident occurred at 2.25am. Both received treatment at the scene but did not require hospital treatment. Fire crews removed the burning pot of meat from the property before extinguishing it.
