The search for a Dundee pensioner missing since Monday came to a tragic end when his body was found washed up on Monifieth beach.
Christopher Jardine’s unlocked four-year-old blue Ford Focus had been found on Riverside Drive on Tuesday morning, eight hours after he was last seen at his home in Forest Park Place.

The police spokesman said: “Mr Jardine’s family are understandably upset by their sudden loss. They do not wish to make any further comments at this time and have requested that their privacy is respected.”
