Piperdam golf and leisure resort near Dundee has been granted planning permission to build more holiday chalets.
The 24 single-storey chalets will have one to three bedrooms.
An Angus Council planning officer said: “The new accommodation represents an improvement to the existing range and quality of attractions and facilities for tourists in the area.
“The new holiday units would have no unacceptable detrimental impact on the local landscape or environment and would be in keeping with the scale, character and use of the existing holiday units and tourism facilities at Piperdam.”
Muirhead, Birkhill and Liff Community Council was consulted on the proposal. It had no objection, but called for the removal of gates on Woodside Road to restore public access to a path. The planning officer agreed the gates should be removed, but said this could not be controlled by a condition of planning permission.
“I understand that the landowner and the council are currently in discussion regarding this matter in relation to the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003,” the officer added.
