Bob Servant’s story to be told at Glasgow writing festival
ByThe Courier Reporter
The story of Dundee legend Bob Servant will be told as part of a Glasgow writing festival this weekend.
Neil Forsyth, creator of the much-loved man about Broughty Ferry, will be appearing at Aye Write! 2013, where he will speak about Bob, his life and work.
Bob Servant was catapulted to national fame after the success of BBC4’s Bob Servant Independent, in which he stood for election to local government on the back of policies such as shooting every dog that entered popular Dawson Park.
At the event Neil will be joined by actor Anthony Strachan, who plays Stewpot of Stewpots Bar in the TV show, as well as other favourites including Kirsten McLean from Limmy’s Show and Andy Clark from River City.
The event will take place in the Mitchell Library’s Auditorium from 12pm on Saturday.
