Dundee University fitness enthusiasts are seeking support for a fundraising challenge that will take them to their limits.
The 12-strong group from the Institute for Sport and Exercise will start with an 130-foot abseil down the university’s Tower Building, then cycle a 50-mile route to Wormit Boat Club where they will take to the water for a five-mile raft up the Tay.
They will then have complete a seven-mile run to the David Lloyd gym at Ethiebeaton.
Fittingly for a test of endurance that even the toughest soldier might balk at, the day’s gruelling adventure is being called the SAS Challenge.
In this case, however, SAS stands for Sarah Anderson Stewart.
She attends the Tayside multiple sclerosis therapy centre and her brother Keith is organising the June 1 fundraiser.
