Police have cordoned off an area of Menzieshill in Dundee after a 14-year-old girl was sexually assaulted.
The teenager had been on a path running between Tweed Crescent and Yarrow Terrace, near Menzieshill High School and St Ninian’s Primary School, when the incident happened shortly after 10.30pm on Thursday.
The girl was uninjured and did not require hospital attention.
Police are appealing for information.
A spokesman said: “Tayside Division appeals to anyone who was in the area between 9pm and 11pm on Thursday night to contact the police as they may have information that could help establish the full circumstances around the incident.
“A dog walker was seen in the area at around the time of the incident and officers would ask him to come forward to see if he has information that is useful to enquiries.
“The area is cordoned off to allow officers to carry out detailed examination at the scene. Door to door enquiries are ongoing and a review of CCTV is being undertaken.”
Children attending school this morning were directed away from the scene.
