A Dundee family have spoken of their utter devastation after a baby boy died in what is said to have been a tragic accident within the family home.
Ten-month-old Karson McNally passed away despite the efforts of paramedics and staff at Ninewells Hospital to resuscitate him.
The emergency services were called to a house in Fintry on Monday evening.
Karson, who would have been 11 months old today, is the great-grandson of Dundee businessman and former Dundee FC chief executive Peter Marr.
Peter and his wife Anne flew home from holiday to comfort their granddaughter Demi (20), Karson’s mother, and his dad, Martin McNally.
Last night a spokesman for the family said: “We have been left utterly devastated by this tragic accident. Karson meant everything to the family and we would like to be left alone at this very difficult time for all of us in order to come to terms with what is a devastating and tragic loss.”
The tragedy happened shortly before 7.30 on Monday evening with the emergency services rushing to the quiet Fintry street.
Shocked residents reported seeing police and paramedics going in and out of the property as the incident unfolded.
It is understood Demi and Martin (25) had moved into the house last year with their son.
