Plans to transform a derelict site on the Kingsway into a mixed use development with a restaurant and offices have been unveiled to members of the public.
A food shop, pub/restaurant, coffee drive-through and employment land, with associated landscaping, access and car parking, is being proposed by developers, I&H Brown, at the former factory site East Kingsway Works.
The former ABB factory, next to Arnold Clark, was demolished some time ago.
Developers are holding the open event at the Douglas Community Centre in Balmoral Avenue from 3-8pm on Wednesday before submitting a formal application for the development, in principle, to the council.
All are welcome to attend the event where the site owner’s representatives will be on hand to answer any questions about the plans.
Thoughts and comments from the public are also welcome and will be used to influence the planning application that is expected to be submitted in late June or early July.
