Police have reached out to the public after a spate of vandalism in the city centre and West End.
Graffiti has appeared at various locations, including shutters in Brook Street and a door on South Tay Street.
Community officers PCs Frank Sturrock and Robert Forrester have taken to social media in a bid to trace the culprits by posting photographs of the graffiti.
Mr Sturrock said: “The ones I have been dealing with have been tags, which are signatures as opposed to graffiti murals.
“I’m trying to find out who is behind it, as I don’t want vandalism in the West End to creep back up to what it was two or three years ago. We are making good use of Twitter and people are getting in touch with us.
“We have had a name put forward through other liaisons and so we are following a positive line of inquiry,” Mr Sturrock added.
“But we are trying to eradicate the issue and pre-empt it before it becomes more of a problem.”
