The incident took place in Stobsmuir Park on Tuesday at about 9.30pm. A police spokesman said inquiries into the assault are continuing. The 15-year-old boy was taken to Ninewells with head injuries but was later released into the care of his mother. He is believed to live nearby. The incident came just a few days after a teenage girl was injured during a brawl outside Ferrari’s bar at the weekend. A dozen police attended to deal with the incident which involved around 30 people in the car park. The attack on the girl was described as a minor assault. Labour councillor Georgia Cruickshank said while the incident was worrying it was not a cause for alarm in the area. She said: “I don’t condone violence of any sort but like any area in Dundee these things can happen then there is nothing for ages.”
