An elderly woman has been robbed at home after letting a woman in to use her toilet.
The 83-year-old was left “shaken but uninjured” after the woman entered her Craigowan Road home on the premise of using the toilet and demanded her purse at about 4.30pm on Monday.
The female suspect is described as being about 30, with long, straight brown/blonde hair and wearing a grey jacket.
Elsewhere in Dundee thieves broke in to a property in Rosehall Gardens between 7.30pm on Saturday and 7.30pm on Sunday and took two Nintendo Wii games consoles, two Xbox games consoles, a pair of Timberland boots, games, designer clothing and aftershave.
In the early hours of Saturday morning the front shop window of McIntyres Hairdressing Salon in Perth Road was smashed.
Three faux display-only GHD straighteners and a display hairdryer were stolen from inside the shop window between 5am and 6am.
A man wearing a grey hooded top, jeans and white trainers was seen acting suspiciously in the area and police are trying to trace him.
Police are also investigating a shed break-in where a DeWalt drill was stolen from a garden in Court Street North between 3.30pm on February 17 and 7.30pm on Wednesday February 20.
