A 25-year-old woman has been found dead at a flat in the west end of Dundee, Tayside Police have confirmed.
The woman, who has not been named, was discovered at the property in Scott Street shortly after 11am on Friday.
Police said the death was being treated as unexplained, but it is understood there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
Plain clothes and uniformed officers continued an investigation on Saturday, with police vehicles seen in the street.
A Scott Street resident said she had seen police outside the building for several hours on Friday.
She said: “There have been police at that building before, so we didn’t think it was that unusual at first. But they kept coming back and then they were there for the rest of the day.”
A police spokesman said: “We attended with ambulance personnel and discovered a 25-year-old female deceased within the property. As with all sudden deaths, a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said that a crew had attended an address in Scott Street at 11am on Friday in response to a call.
