A month after a teenager was sexually assaulted in Dundee, police say they have talked to 300 people in the hunt for her attacker.
The attack, which left the 16-year-old victim “extremely distressed”, took place in the Charleston area of the city four weeks ago.
DI Mike Pirie said: “Inquiries to identify the suspect and establish the full circumstances are continuing.
“Since the incident was reported, the inquiry team has spoken to 300 people and a number of those have been able to provide significant information in support of the investigation,” he added.
The attack happened on Wednesday February 20 at 11.20pm in a small wooded area on South Road, near to its junction with Arran Drive.
The man approached his victim on South Road, before sexually assaulting her and running off towards Menzieshill. He is believed to be in his late 20s to 30s, 5ft 10in and stocky in build.
At the time of the incident, he wore a black hooded top, black trousers and black shoes. He was also described as “smelling dirty” and having a Dundee accent.
