The girlfriend of ex-Dundee United player Garry Kenneth is accused of falsely claiming more than £23,000 of benefits while living with him.
Charlene Buist, 26, is accused of raking in benefits she was not entitled to while living with the defender, who now plays for Bristol Rovers.
Kenneth moved to England last summer and it is alleged Buist was taking the benefits right up until he left the SPL in July.
Prosecutors allege he and Buist were living together.
Buist is alleged to have knowingly made false statements to the Department for Work and Pensions that she was living alone between October 7 2009 and November 17 2009 at Bellisle Drive but it is alleged she was living with Kenneth who was “in remunerative work” and obtained £305.60 of jobseekers allowance.
A second charge alleges between November 2 2009 and July 24 last year that Buist was “knowingly concerned in fraudulent activity with a view to obtaining payments of a tax credit”.
She faces a charge that she claimed £10,915.77 of working and child tax credits as a single person when Kenneth was earning.
From November 18 2009 to December 17 2010 at Bellisle Drive, she is accused of claiming she did not have a partner and claiming £3,480.23 in income support.
A fourth charge alleges that Buist claimed a further £392.70 of income support between March 2 2011 and April 12 2011, when she was living with Kenneth.
A further charge says she claimed £2,082.86 of income support between August 9 2011 and March 11 last year that she was not entitled to. A final charge alleges that between April 1 2011 and April 15 last year, she falsely claimed she was single and obtained £6,315.38 of benefits.
Buist, of Bristol, was not in Dundee Sheriff Court. The case was continued without plea until April 19.
