Dundee Scouts’ Gang Show goes ahead despite Whitehall Theatre row
ByThe Courier Reporter
The Dundee Scout Association Gang Show will go ahead next week despite the problems at the Whitehall Theatre, the show’s producer has confirmed.
Ged Brown, assistant district commissioner for the show, said the annual extravaganza, which takes place from Tuesday to Saturday from 7.15 each night, is unaffected by the row at the Whitehall Theatre Trust this week.
Chairman John Letford and treasurer Alex Scott both resigned after the trust members refused to agree to Mr Letford’s suggestion of a £1,000 donation to the show.
Mr Brown said: “The gang show will definitely go ahead, that donation wasn’t going to make or break the gang show.
“The rehearsals have gone well and the audiences can expect to see a fun-packed evening of musical and comedy sketches, with over 80 Beavers, Cubs and Scouts involved from all over Dundee.”
Tickets for the show are available from the Dundee City Centre Box Office on 434940 or at dundeegangshow.com.
