The View have announced they are to play a second homecoming gig at Dundee’s 20 Rocks after tickets for the first show on Friday May 10 sold out.
The band, who are on tour in America, have agreed to play the following night as well, meaning disappointed fans who didn’t manage to get their hands on the gold-dust briefs now have another chance.
20 Rocks booker Dougie Black said: “We knew the tickets for the first gig would go quite quickly but it was obvious right away it would be a sell-out.
“All the online tickets were grabbed within a few hours and we had to release some more on ticketweb.
“They all sold out right away as well and the last couple of dozen were kept back to be sold at our opening night on Friday. They were gone within minutes.”
Steven Morrison from the band said: “It’s great that when we come back from America we’ll be playing these gigs.
“It was horrible when The Doghouse closed so we thought it was important that we support the new venue when it reopened and we always planned to do a couple of nights.
“Dundee needs that venue and it’ll be great for the music scene there.”
Tickets for the gig on Saturday May 11 go on sale from 9am today on Ticket-web and from Groucho’s.
