A tribute event to Dundee bard Michael Marra helped raise money for the charity created in his honour.
Held at Clarks on Lindsay Street, the gig was staged to raise money for Optimistic Sound, which was set up by Michael’s family after he died in 2012.
The charity is aiming to bring to Dundee the Sistema programme, which tries to tackle poverty and raise the hopes and opportunities of young people.
Michael Marra would annually take to the stage with peers and musical family members for a good old-fashioned sing-song at this time of year and last night saw the event return as a tribute featuring singers and musicians from the Dundee music scene and beyond.
