ByThe Courier Reporter
CELEBRITY BIG Brother contestant Sam Robertson threw a party in his home town of Dundee on Saturday night to thank the fans who voted to keep him on the show.
The actor and model was evicted from the house a week ago.
Hundreds packed into Fat Sams nightclub to welcome the 27-year-old back to Dundee.
Sam said: “When I was told of the reaction in Dundee to my time on Big Brother I thought it would be a good idea to celebrate with friends and family.
“It’s been great to be able to enjoy the things I took for granted before I went in the house.”
Sam lasted just over a week on the programme before becoming the second celebrity voted out.
During his time on the show he was seen proudly wearing his favourite retro Dundee FC top.
Born and raised in Dundee, he was studying English and drama at Manchester University when he was chosen to play Mike Baldwin’s son Adam in Coronation Street.
He went on to play Flynn in Beaver Falls.
Robyn Donachie (30) was one of those who turned out to welcome Sam home. She said Sam “was true to himself and he did Dundee and Scotland proud”.
