A couple who dealt drugs from the window of their Dundee flat will be evicted this morning ending a two-year nightmare for neighbours.
Last year The Courier revealed how a steady stream of drug users would visit the ground-floor flat in Menzieshill to purchase their wares.
Over several days we photographed visitors approaching the flat window and the exchange of money for drugs that followed.
Our investigation led to the police raiding the property less than a week later.
We understand the couple will be evicted by Dundee City Council this morning.
Other residents on the Menzieshill street say they are delighted that 33-year-old Lee Gray and his partner, Donna Ritchie, who turned 30 this month, will no longer be able to peddle drugs on their street.
There was no answer at the flat on Tuesday afternoon and the heavy red curtains in the living room remained drawn.
Although residents say there has been less activity at the flat since our expose last September, one woman, who lives in a ground-floor flat nearby, spoke of her relief that the couple are being moved out of the street.
“It has been a lot quieter since last year but a lot of them (drug addicts) thought it was my house where they could buy drugs,” she said.
