Dundee girl will be in spotlight at Man City v CSKA Moscow Champions League match

A football-mad Dundee youngster will be seen by millions tonight at a Champions League tie in Manchester tonight.

Gabrielle Forbes, 8, will be a mascot at Manchester City’s tie against CSKA Moscow at Etihad Stadium after mum Laura won an online competition.

St Ninians P4 pupil Gabrielle will travel to the glamour tie with her dad Barry, a former Dundee FC player.

Laura said: “The competition was two weeks ago and I entered it thinking that I wouldn’t win. We found out last week I’d won.

“I was absolutely shocked, but I was more excited for Gabrielle and Barry because they are die-hard football fans.

“She is so excited she’s away getting her hair done.

“She’s looking forward to meeting the players and being on TV.”
