ByThe Courier Reporter
Scores of young adults in Dundee were caught watching TV without a licence in the past year.
More than 27,000 people between the ages of 18 and 25 were caught illegally watching TV between September 2013 and August this year across the country, including 61 in Dundee, according to new figures from TV Licensing.
Watching television without a licence on any device can incur prosecution and a fine of up to £1,000.
Kim Hayman, spokeswoman for TV Licensing Scotland, said: “We know some people struggle to pay the licence fee which is why we have many payment options available to spread the cost in smaller, more manageable chunks.”
