A Dundee teenager has been charged with a communications offence after a comment mocking the Ibrox Stadium disaster was posted on Twitter.
Police confirmed the 19-year-old male was the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in relation to the incident.
The accused teen, who has not been named, was employed at Michelin at the time the comment appeared on the social networking site.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police Scotland can confirm a 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with a communications offence and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
The account on which the post appeared was later deleted.
