Police activity in Monifieth and Barnhill was missing person search

A missing man from the Forth Valley area has been traced by police in Monifieth.

Officers were seen carrying out searches this afternoon at Monifieth beach and Barnhill Cemetery.

It is understood the 23-year-old had been away from his home in Camelon, Falkirk, for a number of days, but concerns were only raised for his wellbeing this morning.

A Tayside Division spokeswoman said: “The man was traced safe and well at a caravan park in Monifieth.”
