A woman has been charged after a police investigation into alleged discrepancies over charity collections at Baldragon Academy.
Police received complaints that there were differences between the sums of money raised for various good causes and the amounts handed over.
It is understood the collections included Comic Relief, “no uniform” days and animal welfare groups, as well as cash donated to school departments.
The funds were raised for these causes at the school in Burn Street by pupils and their parents.
A police spokeswoman said, “A 40-year-old woman has been charged and reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with alleged breach of trust and embezzlement offences at Baldragon Academy in Dundee.”
