Around 500 cyclists raised an estimated £35,000 for charity at the Dundee Cyclathon.
The cyclists, who ranged from children to an 81-year-old, made a colourful sight as they set off from Camperdown Park to negotiate the city’s Green Circular cycle route on Sunday.
The course, which measured the full marathon distance of 26 miles 385 yards, took between an hour and a half and three hours to complete.
Thankfully, the weather was calm and fair until after the final cyclists finished.
The event was organised by Claverhouse Rotary Club, whose president Harrison Watson declared the Cyclathon a huge success.
He said: “It’s been a great day we have raised £35,000 for Cash For Kids and a lot of the cyclists have their own charities they can raise money for as well.”For more photos, click here.
