The crew wrapped up Roby and the Gates of Nargara after 17 days of filming in locations across the city. The project was overseen by 25-year-old Tracey Connelly, who put her career in medicine on hold to pursue her dream of working in the arts. She teamed up with her brother Paul (27), who studied media at Dundee College, for their first feature film. “On the first day on set, cows at Balgonie Castle managed to escape across the gate and ransack our set,” she said. “We were also hit with a blackout so there was no electricity for hours.” They also had to cancel shooting on a couple of days because of heavy downpours. The film follows the story of a young girl who wakes up in a different world and has to fight to save the Earth from a sorcerer. They are hoping to show the full film in January at the DCA.
