Two school buses full of primary pupils heading for a Christmas panto were involved in a crash in Pitkerro Road on Wednesday.
The Fishers Tours vehicles were carrying over 30 children from St Vincent’s Primary School when the collision occurred around 1.30pm north of Baxter Park Terrace.
Debris was strewn across the road after the collision left one bus with a shattered windscreen and the other smaller bus with extensive damage to the rear.
The children and their teachers were initially left sitting in the vehicles until they were transferred to a further two buses and were allowed to continue on their way.
Fishers Tours refused to comment but a spokesman for Dundee City Council’s education department said: ”There was an accident involving two buses.
”They were transporting pupils from St Vincent’s Primary School to see the panto at Dundee Rep. No one appears to be injured but police are investigating.”
