Woman suffers bruising in Stobswell street robbery

A hooded robber who stole a woman’s purse, injuring her in the process, is being hunted by police in Dundee.
The 46-year-old woman suffered bruising when the robber wrenched her purse from her in broad daylight in the Stobswell area of the city.
The woman was walking in Arbroath Road near the Cask Bar around 7.15pm on Friday when she was approached from behind and had her purse stolen from her bag.
Police said the man, thought to be in his 20s, then ran from Albert Street into Princess Street, Graham Place and Robertson Street before heading down on to Broughty Ferry Road.
A spokeswoman for the force said: ”The woman received assistance from members of the public and suffered some minor bruising as a result of the incident.”
The robber is described as aged 22 to 28, approximately six feet tall, of thin build with a local accent.
He was wearing a navy SuperDry hooded top and denim jeans.
The victim is described as being slim with long dark brown hair and was wearing a navy blue ski jacket, jeans and white trainers.
